Kim Bowman, vocals
Born and raised in Bellingham. I started teaching piano at age 14 and playing professionally at 20, first just playing the piano and later, singing and playing piano at such places as Harry O's, Semiahmoo, Vierrick's, Sara Debra Ball, The Bellingham Golf and Country Club, and other venues, festivals and private functions. My training is classical piano - I graduated from Western Washington University as a music major and studied with Ford Hill and Jeffrey Gilliam. I have been a singer and keyboardist in funk/rock and roll bands, as well as a 20-piece big band. As I got older, my appreciation for jazz grew - especially for the sounds of Bill Evans. I really wanted to be in a jazz trio and when Paul approached me about forming a new group, I was very excited, as I knew what a great musician he was. So here I am!.

Born and raised in Bellingham. My mother's family were all musicians which led me to begin piano at an early age. Took up clarinet in the 4th grade at Roeder Elementary and played in school bands through my graduation from Bellingham High School. Joined the U.S.Navy in 1958 as a Navy Musician serving mostly in Pensacola ,FL. in the concert band there and wrote many arrangements for our band. After the Navy, studied music at L.A.Conservatory in Los Angeles, California State College at Northridge, and finally back home at WWU in Bellingham. While in California during the 60's and 70's, I performed with many groups namely the Johnny Mathis concert tours, Sy Zentner's Big Band, Shindig, Sarah Vaughn at the Cal-Neva Resort, Lake Tahoe, and others. Always wanted to be an arranger/composer of music and still work at that at present. After returning to Bellingham, in 1977, I've been fortunate to meet and play with many fine local musicians in many different sized bands. I enjoy writing the arrangements for our combo featuring the wonderfully rich voice of Kim Bowman - our vocalist.
